Challenges & opportunities of scaling the low-carbon fuels economy.

LOW CARBON FUELS ARE A CRUCIAL STEP FOR ENERGY TRANSITION IN THE TRANSPORT SECTOR AND HERE’S WHY:
Even though electrification might be the next big thing in replacing traditional fossil fuels, however it might not be a plausible option for transport sectors such as aviation or marine. With low carbon fuels, it presents an ample opportunity to decarbonize the transport sectors with minimal upheaval, such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and many more.

TRANSITIONING PERIOD: ROAD TO NET ZERO BY 2050
Low carbon fuels play an important role in decarbonizing transport by providing low carbon solutions for sectors such as trucking, shipping and aviation to achieving the net zero emission by 2050.

As more and greener technologies are emerging (green hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, etc), but with new regulations being implemented (REDIII, ReFuelEU, new blending mandates in SEA, EU deforestation law, etc), hence the challenges and opportunities for the low carbon fuels sector are constantly evolving.

CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES ALONG THE WAY:
While the production of low carbon fuels is in high demand especially in the aviation and marine industry, however the supply of feedstock (used cooking oil (UCO), palm oil mil effluent POME oilseeds, used cooking oil methyl ester (UCOME), tallow, crude glycerin, etc) are limited. The race to secure ample feedstocks supply is a real challenge to biofuels producers.

Are there alternative game-changing feedstocks out there that can meet the growing demand for low-carbon fuels?

How can we produce more low carbon fuels without competing with other food sources?

Join us at our Low Carbon Fuels Summit 2024 to hear from industry experts from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, Germany, etc, about their latest technologies, key challenges, the impacts on of new policies and mandates, feedstocks supply and more.
