Shri Giriraj Singh hopes that India would be recognized internationally for its green, sustainable textile goods and the “Bharat” brand.

Delhi will host Bharat Tex 2025 from February 14–17, 2025.

There will be more than 5,000 exhibitors and 6,000 foreign customers from more than 110 countries.

By 2030, it is anticipated that India’s textile sector would generate US$350 billion and 3.5 crore new employment. This was said by Union Textiles Minister Shri Giriraj Singh at today’s “Bharat Tex 2025” curtain-raiser ceremony in New Delhi. He added that he hoped India will become known globally for its “Bharat” brand and environmentally friendly, sustainable textile goods. The occasion was also attended by senior Ministry officials, Textiles Secretary Ms. Rachna Shah, and Union Minister of State for Textiles and External Affairs, Shri Pabitra Margherita.

According to Shri Singh, the PLI program for textiles launched by the Union Government would help the garment industry increase output and strengthen its brand. The Minister went on to say that the PLI program will make it possible to integrate the textile value chain and attract foreign direct investment to the nation.

Shri Singh emphasized that India’s demographic dividend will help the country expand faster than China and he asked state governments to take equal role in the initiative. “This event is an embodiment of the 5F vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—with innovation, collaboration, and the Made in India spirit at its core,” he continued.

With backing from the Ministry of Textiles, a group of Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) are organizing the international textile event Bharat Tex 2025. BHARAT TEX 2025, slated for February 14–17, 2025, is billed as an international textile trade show and information platform.

Two cutting-edge locations, India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida and Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will host the event concurrently. Exhibitions related to handicrafts, garment machines, and ethnic apparel will be hosted from February 12–15, 2025, at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, while the main event, which will include the full textile value chain, will take place from February 14–17, 2025, at the Bharat Mandapam.

The goal of Bharat Tex 2025 is to continue the tremendous performance of its predecessor in 2024. This year’s event aims to be even more colorful and appealing than the previous edition, drawing top politicians, global CEOs, international exhibitors, and global buyers. It is built around the twin themes of robust global value chains and textile sustainability.

This year’s show, which will occupy 200,000 square meters, is projected to draw in over 20,000 attendees, 6,000 foreign buyers from over 110 countries, and over 5,000 exhibitors. There will be over a hundred speakers from around the world during the event.

Apparel, home furnishings, floor coverings, yarns, fabrics, carpets, silk, textile-based handicrafts, technical textiles, and much more will be on display at the Bharat Tex show. It will also have a retail High Street with an emphasis on the potential of the fashion retail business in India. In addition, the sister location of India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, will have exhibits of ethnic dress and demonstrations on handicrafts and garment machines.

A variety of events will be available at the textile extravaganza, including seminars, CEO roundtables, a worldwide trade fair and expo, a global textiles conference, and B2B and G2G meetings. In addition, there will be product introductions, partnerships, and strategic investment announcements that have the potential to completely change the global textile market. Aside from professional discussions and sustainability seminars, attendees can anticipate live demonstrations, cultural activities, fashion showcases, and designer and brand exhibitions.
