Leading manufacturer of man-made cellulosic fiber (MMCF) worldwide, Sateri, plans to increase its market share in Pakistan’s rapidly expanding Lyocell industry.
Sateri’s emphasis on Lyocell is in line with the growing market for eco-friendly fabrics. By 2030, the present 900,000 tons of Lyocell capacity is expected to increase to 3,200,000 tons worldwide. “We are witnessing a significant rise in demand for sustainably produced global man-made cellulosic fibres, particularly Lyocell,” said Louis Tsai Tsung Ying, Downstream Business Development Manager, Sateri.
“We are positioned to meet this demand as we expand our footprint in Pakistan thanks to our commitment to sustainable practices and innovation.” Having only entered the Pakistani market five years prior, he said, Sateri organized a client event with textile producers in Karachi to fortify its ties with the country.
Leaders from Sateri emphasized Lyocell’s distinctive sustainability features during the Karachi event and provided updates on the company’s strategies to increase its market share in Pakistan. In Pakistan, the 50,000 ton lyocell market is already 30% owned by Sateri.
