Ambercycle and Arc’teryx Announce Strategic Innovation

California’s Los Angeles and Canada’s North Vancouver October 29, 2024 — To promote material innovation in the performance garment industry, Ambercycle has established a strategic alliance with Arc’teryx, a Canadian high-performance outdoor brand.

Through the cooperation, Ambercycle’s cycora® regenerated materials will be used in Arc’teryx’s product ranges. A significant step towards commercialising Ambercycle’s ground-breaking molecular regeneration technology and expanding access to cycora® throughout the clothing supply chain is this material commitment.

Arc’teryx has pledged to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050 or earlier, which calls for a 42% decrease in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2030 and a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions. These goals highlight Arc’teryx’s dedication to reducing product impact through circularity, since the company is renowned for producing robust, long-lasting gear. cycora®, derived from end-of-life textiles, plays a crucial role in helping Arc’teryx achieve these ambitious targets by delivering high-quality products made from circular, decarbonized materials.

According to Shay Sethi, CEO of Ambercycle, “As an innovation-driven company, Ambercycle is always exploring new frontiers in material regeneration and circularity.” When two teams collaborate with a visionary leader like Arc’teryx, they may push the boundaries of traditional methods and achieve even more impact. We are investigating the possibility of a really circular future together.

As both businesses show how closed-loop circular solutions can scale for even the most durable high-performance garments, this collaboration highlights the need of linking obsessive design and material perfection.

“Disruptive evolution is Arc’teryx’s mission. By always striving for design excellence, we think there’s always a better way to go. Ambercycle shares our vision for evolution through circularity, and we’re excited to explore the use of cycora® regenerated materials in our product line,” said Katie Becker, Chief Creative Officer at Arc’teryx.
