ROICA INNOVATION GALLERY
ROICATM by Asahi Kasei makes a huge comeback at ISPO with its three-dimensional area that will walk visitors through the whole process of this remarkable fibre: from the raw material to the finished product meant for end users, passing by incredible fabric makers who are basically partners.
First, let’s discuss the ROICA™ Heritage dimension, which refers to its origins. The material itself and its quirks are presented. From Asahi Kasei’s corporate perspective, attending ISPO is also a means of showcasing one’s love and enthusiasm for sports as well as its significance to people’s wellbeing. Since its founding in 1971, this principle has played a significant role in guiding the creation of the five ROICA™ families, which stand for tangible performance solutions and have earned the company a reputation for setting the standard for the fashion and textile industries via responsible innovation that complements modern wardrobes.
The ROICA Eco-SmartTM family range was created with ethical stretch fibres and clothing in mind. At ISPO, it will be the ROICATM emphasis.
The degradable stretch fibre known as ROICATM V550 was made with the use of unique polymer technologies. As shown by OWS testing, it partially decomposes into CO2 and water under ISO 14855-1 conditions, offering a sustainable end-of-life option. It is worth noting that it is the first Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM stretch yarn in the world to get a Material Health Gold Level Certificate.
ROICATM EF is an OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified recycled stretch fibre derived from pre-consumer sources. Together, these two yarns stand for the ROICA Eco-SmartTM family, a distinctive, certified technology offering that can satisfy ethical business requirements and modern consumer demands for clothing while providing performance, sustainability, comfort, and style for daily use.
Additionally, performance is nearly the only consideration when discussing sportswear, whether one is a daily participant, amateur, or competitive athlete, or only rarely participates. Performance also entails “active athlete” outcomes, style, ergonomics, ease of maintenance, improved fit, breathability, softness, and skin comfort, all of which are infused with a conscientious approach. And ROICATM is capable of supporting that!
The textiles from ROICA™‘s partners will thereafter be on display at the ROICA™ Innovation Gallery at ISPO, highlighting the most recent advancements in composition, performance, and materials.
Fabrics by Brugnoli
Brugnoli displays some of its cutting-edge athletic textiles, which combine performance and sustainability and are all created using ROICA Eco-SmartTM family fibres. Made with ROICATM V550, BDG2 fabric offers a smooth and soft solution that is perfect for athletic styles and loungewear. For high-performance wear, Explosive Amni V550 provides double stretch, muscular support, and a clean-cut finish. It is constructed of Fulgar’s ROICATM V550 and Amni Soul Eco® Polyamide, which has improved biodegradability. Made of Qnova® pre-consumer recycled polyamide and ROICATM EF elastane, BRecycled 11 GRS offers a lightweight, second-skin feel that has been approved by GRS.
Performance clothing is revolutionised by Cifra WKS WKS technology, which produces seamless, light clothing that fits the body organically. An invention that incorporates breathable mesh zones for targeted cooling, improves mobility, and controls temperature. Through warp knitting and a computer-based piezo jacquard system, WKS enables quick production, mass customization, and integrated design functionality, setting a new standard for precision and performance in activewear.
Cifra displays two unique outfits at ISPO that highlight the inventiveness of their seamless technology. from its second-skin feel and unparalleled comfort and range of motion, the Seamless Jumpsuit, made from ROICATM V550, is appropriate for both formal events and athletic activities. Meanwhile, the Seamless Fashion T-shirt utilizes Cifra’s body mapping technology, combining strategically placed breathable zones with unique design structures for performance and style, achieving exceptional stretchability with the use of ROICA™ EF.
Dresdner Spitzen
At the forefront of blending aesthetic appeal with technical expertise, Dresdner Spitzen introduces fabrics featuring ROICA™ V550 to meet the evolving demands of sportswear. The elastic warp knit and lace designs, such as their B5001010 and B5091097 articles, provide lightweight stretch and a refined aesthetic, making them ideal for athleisure wear. These innovations emphasize the perfect harmony between comfort, sustainability, and visual elegance.

Iluna Group’s new collection blends ROICA™ EF with recycled polyamides like Qnova® and RENYCLE®, delivering sustainable activewear fabrics that combine functionality, bold aesthetics, and exceptional performance. The ECO202AX jersey offers a lightweight, sheer, and ultra-soft feel, delivering warmth and moisture-wicking properties ideal for base layers that act as a second skin, this fabric is crafted with TENCEL™ Lyocell Micro technology and ROICA™ V550 granting outstanding elasticity. The ECO373AX interlock, featuring CLEAN CUT technology, combines the natural warmth of TENCEL™ with the elasticity of ROICA™ V550, ensuring comfort and flexibility even in the most structured garments. Penn Textile Solutions – Penn Italia
Penn Textile Solutions – Penn Italia presents advanced sportwear fabrics powered by ROICA Eco Smart™ family and ROICA Resistance™ family fibers. The NO SEE THROUGH fabrics like 13949 and 13948 prevent transparency with high-density zones and breathable areas. The FAST DRY range such as 13768 and 13999/V4 delivers moisture control, breathability, and 3D customizable designs, both fabrics are made with ROICA™ V550 providing flexibility and elasticity. The UP AND DOWN fabrics combine aerodynamic design with reinforced edges for stability, utilizing ROICA™ V550 for exceptional stretchability.

The NATIVE-BLIZZARD fabric delivers superior thermal comfort through a brushed microfiber and dual stretch structure, providing effective insulation, breathability, and easy maintenance. Utilizing ROICA™ EF for outstanding stretchability, this innovative fabric is part of Sitip’s NATIVE Sustainable Textiles line – a technology that combines recycled yarns and low-impact chemicals to minimize resource consumption and promote environmental sustainability.
Tessitura Colombo Antonio
Tessitura Colombo Antonio prioritizes ROICA Eco-Smart™ family fibers. This year Tessitura Colombo Antonio introduces an innovative lace made with graphene yarn, offering thermoregulation, antistatic properties, thermal conductivity, and abrasion resistance. Designed with a geometric pattern, its elastic adaptability is provided by ROICA™ EF recycled stretch fiber, and it is ideal for sportswear, either as a standalone fabric or paired with technical materials, tailored for athleisure projects.

At ISPO, Edelvissa, an emerging Italian brand, present its Crop Top and Biker Leggings. Crafted from recycled and GRS-certified polyamide paired with ROICA™ EF recycled stretch fiber, these 100% Made in Italy garments seamlessly blend sustainability with performance.
Their distinctive elasticity provides the garments with a tight yet comfortable fit, perfect for both sports and a large variety of everyday activities. A delicate tone-on-tone embroidery adds a refined touch to this sporty but elegant and delicate look.

PARTNERSHIPS AND SPECIAL WORKSHOP AT ISPO
Last but not least, this ISPO edition sees also the debut of a great new partnership able to offer a way to accelerate circularity. The partnership between ROICA™ by Asahi Kasei, a pioneer in premium stretch fiber and TENCEL™ by Lenzing, a leader in wood-based cellulosic textile fibers continues at ISPO with sustainable and circular-driven textiles made for sportswear. The collaboration between the two companies has laid the foundation for new benchmarks in the field of sustainability, performance and design in the textile sector and represents an innovative step towards circular and responsibly produced fabrics. The innovative composition, the creativity of the fabrics, their design, quality and high performance are now combined with the end-of-life solutions of the product. At ISPO, this project will take center stage on December 3rd at 11:45 AM in Future Lab, Hall B2, Pink Stage.
