Cotton Yarn Exhibitors Gear Up for Yarn Expo Spring 2025

Shanghai, 11 February 2025 – Cotton remains the most widely used natural fiber in the textile industry, with increasing adoption of organic cotton by leading fashion brands and retailers. This shift is driving higher demand for sustainable yarn and fiber options. Yarn Expo Spring 2025, scheduled for 11–13 March, will provide extensive opportunities in the cotton sector, featuring nearly 90 exhibitors focused on cotton among over 500 participants from 12 countries and regions.

The market is also witnessing rising interest in eco-friendly alternatives. Recycled cotton yarn is gaining popularity as it supports circular fashion trends and appeals to environmentally conscious consumers. Additionally, the global organic cotton market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 44.4% through 2030.

India, the world’s second-largest cotton yarn producer after China, holds a significant 31.2% share of the international market. At Yarn Expo Spring, exhibitors from China, India, Pakistan, and other countries are preparing to meet the growing demand, offering a diverse selection of cotton-related products.

Showcasing Premium Cotton at the India Pavilion

A key attraction at the event will be the India Pavilion, organized by the Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (Texprocil). The pavilion will highlight various yarn and fiber categories, including pure cotton carded and combed yarn, viscose, blended yarn, synthetic yarn, recycled yarn, organic/GOTS yarn, spandex yarn, and polyester-cotton blends. Notable exhibitors include:

  • Le Merite Fashions Private Limited – A manufacturer specializing in cotton yarn and greige fabrics, and a leading exporter with OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification for eco-friendly, high-quality products.

Reflecting on a previous edition of Yarn Expo Spring, Mr. Murali Balkrishna, Joint Director of Texprocil, stated, “Indian suppliers continue to participate in Yarn Expo due to its effectiveness as a business platform and access to China’s vast market. India’s strong textile industry and competitive pricing attract global buyers, particularly for India’s popular twisted cotton yarn.”
