Lenzing Updates Shareholder Structure After Capital Increase

Lenzing Aktiengesellschaft has announced an update to its shareholder structure following the completion of its capital increase. The company based the update on recently published participation notifications.

The shareholder syndicate comprising B&C Group and Suzano S.A. continues to hold approximately 52.25% of Lenzing’s voting rights.

Within the syndicate, B&C Group holds 39.6%, while Suzano International Trade GmbH holds 12.6%. The latter is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzano S.A.

Suzano Holding Acquires Direct Stake

In addition to the existing shareholding structure, Suzano Holding S.A. has acquired a direct stake in Lenzing. The shares represent approximately 0.80% of the company’s total shares.

Suzano Holding S.A. is the controlling shareholder of Suzano S.A. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs Group holds 5.86% of Lenzing shares.

Lenzing Highlights Shareholder Commitment

Commenting on the updated shareholder structure, Lenzing CFO Mathias Breuer welcomed the direct investment by Suzano Holding S.A.

“We welcome the direct investment by Suzano Holding S.A., the controlling shareholder of Suzano S.A., which is already represented in the syndicate with the B&C Group. Our shareholders’ strong participation in the capital increase, as well as the developments in our shareholder structure, demonstrate their commitment to Lenzing and our strategic transformation,” says Mathias Breuer, CFO of Lenzing.
