Groz-Beckert to Showcase Textile Innovations at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026

Company to present new energy-efficient needles, advanced weaving and nonwoven technologies, and digital customer services across six product segments at Hall 4.1, Booth D41.

Groz-Beckert will showcase its latest textile machinery components, precision tools and technological developments at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, taking place from November 20 to 24, 2026, in Shanghai, China. Covering six product areas – Knitting, Weaving, Nonwovens, Sewing, Tufting and Spinning – the company will highlight innovations focused on energy efficiency, production reliability, precision and improved processing performance.

Groz-Beckert will present its latest product developments and technological innovations at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, one of the major international exhibitions for the textile and apparel industry. Visitors can meet the company in Hall 4.1, Booth D41, from November 20 to 24, 2026, in Shanghai, China.

The showcase will cover six key product areas, with solutions developed to address changing production requirements across the textile value chain.

Knitting: Energy Efficiency and Special-Application Needles

In circular knitting, Groz-Beckert will highlight its LCmax™ energy-saving needles. Featuring an innovative wave-shaped shank geometry, these needles are designed to reduce friction, improve energy efficiency and simplify handling while maintaining high performance.

For flat knitting, the company will present two special-application needles. The SAN™ TT is designed for particularly tight stitch loops and applications in technical and medical textiles. The new SAN™ FY is engineered to process uneven effect yarns while maintaining a consistent fabric appearance, including in complex designs.

In collaboration with SINOTEX, Groz-Beckert will demonstrate its fine-gauge technology through a jointly developed knitted collar. The application uses the spring-loaded latch needle Vosa Spec. 89.50-45 G016 to produce finer fabrics and tighter stitch loops for high-quality collars and sweater components.

The Legwear product group will feature its durable dur™ needles for sock and fine hosiery machines, where precision and load resistance are essential.

For warp knitting, the company will introduce its patented compound needle Spec. 51/43.36 G 101, developed for fine-gauge elastic fabrics. Its reinforced plastic component provides greater stability, while minimal tolerances support uniform fabric quality and reliable knitting performance.

Groz-Beckert will also introduce an AI-powered WeChat chatbot for knitting customers in China. The digital service will enable users to access product information and make product and price enquiries through natural-language interaction, providing faster responses and a convenient customer communication channel.

Weaving: Solutions for Advanced Fabric Applications

The Weaving product area will focus on solutions for demanding applications, particularly printed circuit board (PCB) and glass fibre weaving.

As finer yarns and increasingly sophisticated electronic fabrics create higher requirements for process stability and fabric quality, Groz-Beckert will present solutions covering the complete weaving preparation process.

The portfolio includes preparation equipment and yarn-guiding components such as drop wires, healds and reeds. These products are designed to support reliable performance in advanced weaving applications.

Nonwovens: Improved Efficiency in Felting and Carding

In Nonwovens, Groz-Beckert will showcase its latest developments in felting and carding technologies.

A key highlight will be the Litespeed™ felting needle, developed to reduce insertion and removal times, simplify handling and improve operational efficiency. The newly developed CB-Barb felting needle will also be presented.

For nonwoven carding, the company will introduce its specialised Mounting Service. The portfolio will also include SiroLock™ plus wires from the Groz-Beckert InLine card clothing family, designed to deliver precision, performance and reliability throughout the carding process.

Sewing: Special Needles for Demanding Applications

The Sewing product area will highlight its SAN™ special-application needles, developed for challenging industrial sewing operations.

The SAN™ 5.2 offers enhanced stability and reliable loop pick-up, making it suitable for technical textile applications such as airbags. The SAN™ 6 is designed to provide high process reliability when sewing woven materials such as denim.

Both needle variants feature GEBEDUR™ coating, which provides wear protection, particularly around the needle point.

For extremely fine materials, Groz-Beckert will present the slim yet dimensionally stable SAN™ 10 and the even slimmer SAN™ 10 XS. Both are designed to minimise material damage during sewing.

Another highlight will be the Litespeed™ needle, developed for heat-intensive sewing applications, including high-speed operations and the processing of dense or multilayer materials. Its special geometry is designed to support stable sewing performance under demanding conditions.

The company will also showcase its Groz-Beckert Sewing video series and interactive Needle Finder. The video series features practical guidance from company experts on industrial sewing and sewing machine needles. Available through the Sewing Customer Portal, the Needle Finder recommends suitable needles for different seams and applications using specific product examples.

Tufting: Precision Components for Floor Coverings

In the Tufting segment, Groz-Beckert will present its established Gauge Part system for manufacturing tufted floor coverings, including carpets, bath mats and artificial turf.

The system combines different materials and precisely coordinated individual components to support reliable production processes and consistent results.

Spinning: Energy-Saving Developments in Carding

For the spinning industry, Groz-Beckert will introduce a new energy-saving, maintenance-free cylinder wire. The development is designed to offer an extended service life, higher card output and reduced maintenance costs.

The company will also present further developments in stationary flats and revolving tops. High PPSI revolving tops have been designed specifically for processing fine yarns, while a specialised tops technology has been developed for the latest card models available in the market.

In addition, stationary flats will feature a new profile and wire designs aimed at improving overall carding performance.
