Broad-based investments in technical textiles have been pushed by the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) NIFT-TEA Incubation Centre in Tiruppur, which has been recognised by the Central and State governments for supporting startups with mentorship assistance.

Startups recently displayed a variety of environmentally friendly innovations, such as salt-free dyeing technologies, natural dyeing techniques, packaging materials made from fabric waste, and natural, biodegradable sanitary napkins for women, all of which are in line with the incubation center’s efforts to promote growth in the textile and apparel industry.

One noteworthy invention was a state-of-the-art technique for extracting and recycling chemicals and salt from effluent from textile dyeing.

The faculty at NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion claims that the incubation centre has developed into a focus for innovation and excellence because to its state-of-the-art facilities, which include sophisticated machinery, state-of-the-art labs, and access to a worldwide network of specialists. Ms. Lalitha urged using State research funds to support new findings and envisioned the incubation facility playing a vital role in promoting Central and State government programs for technological textiles.
