ALVA Unveils 3-Phase Hall Sensor for SlimTorq™ Motors

ALVA Industries has introduced a new 3-phase Hall-effect sensor across its SlimTorq™ motor range. Designed for simple and reliable integration, this sensor offers open-drain output, an integrated 1.2kΩ pull-up resistor, and operates at 5VDC—ideal for commutation, speed, and position feedback.

SlimTorq™ motors are the market’s slimmest and lightest torque motors, suited for high-speed, high-precision tasks across land, sea, air, and space. Manufactured using ALVA’s proprietary FiberPrinting™ technology, these motors feature ironless and slotless windings with an industry-leading 60% copper fill factor—delivering exceptional torque density, precision, and thermal management.

SlimTorq™ serves critical sectors including:

  • High-precision gimbals
  • Medical and surgical robotics
  • Defense & satellite communications
  • Light robotics
  • Marine propulsion
  • Semiconductor and metrology applications

“FiberPrinting™ lets us overcome traditional motor design limits,” said Nicolas Giraudo, CCO at ALVA. “SlimTorq™ motors offer unmatched slimness, torque density, and scalability—while optimizing heat dissipation and weight.”
