The Technical & Innovative Textile Solution Center (TITSC) successfully organized a one-day seminar on “Manufacturing of Baby Diapers: New Business Opportunities and Market Strategies” at Gokulam Park Hotel, Coimbatore, on 30th November 2024. The event saw the participation of 40 industry professionals.
The keynote address was delivered by Shri Periayasamy, CEO of Atul Incubation Center, Tirupur, focusing on sustainable fibers and sustainability. A special booklet on the baby diaper project was released by Shri Dhayanithi, Head QCO of Bella Premier Pvt. Ltd., Shri Sampath Kumar, CEO of Tetra Clothing, and Dr. S. Thiruppathi, CEO of TITSC.
The seminar included in-depth discussions on Challenges and Opportunities, Innovations, Raw Materials, Machinery, Financial Aids, Digital Marketing, and Hygiene Aspects of baby diapers. It covered all three types of diapers: disposable, reusable, and hybrid.
Dr. S. Thiruppathi emphasized the need for more entrepreneurs in the baby diaper industry, highlighting a market growth rate of 8-12% annually. He also pointed out the absence of a single baby diaper manufacturing plant in South India, despite the region’s significant contribution to the textile industry.
The event attracted participants from various cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Coimbatore, and featured over 500 innovative products on display.
