Brooklyn Bedding brings back EcoSleep as DTC exclusive line

Brooklyn Bedding is reintroducing its organic sleep portfolio with two new GOTS- and Greenguard Gold-certified mattresses for its EcoSleep lineup.

The EcoSleep and EcoSleep Luxe mattresses are being sold exclusively online through the company’s dedicated website. Brooklyn Bedding introduced the line in 2019 and later updated it in 2021.

The all-latex mattresses are made with Eco-Institut-certified Talalay latex, GOTS-certified cotton and organic EcoPlush wool.

“Our all-new EcoSleep and EcoSleep Luxe models offer high quality, organic materials at an affordable entry point,” said John Merwin, CEO of Brooklyn Bedding. “We’ve carefully selected each layer, using the most organic and environmentally friendly materials available to deliver the ultimate healthy sleep solution. We’re thrilled to be adding two GOTS and Greenguard Gold certified mattresses to our lineup to provide yet another sustainable option to our customers.”

The mattresses feature layers of sustainably sourced organic cotton and wool in the quilted top cover, organic cashmere along with the latex. EcoSleep incudes a 3-inch layer of latex, while EcoSleep Luxe has an additional layer of latex for more support. The mattresses are built on 8-inch coils.

Brooklyn Bedding received both Greenguard Gold and GOTS certifications in 2022 after passing a series of examinations, inspections and testing. GOTS was developed in 2006 as a worldwide standard to ensure organic status and socially responsible manufacturing of textiles through the entire supply chain, including fiber production, processing, and manufacturing.

The mattresses are priced at $995 for a queen EcoSleep and $1,295 for a queen EcoSleep Luxe. Both are backed by a 10-year warranty and carry a 100-night comfort trial.
