The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) recognized the Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA) as one of the Top 5 Innovative Institutes in India for 2024 on December 13, 2024. NITRA has consistently engaged in significant research and development (R&D) and innovations within technical textiles, unconventional natural fibers, and sustainability.
NITRA’s developments and innovations are largely commercialized, with benefits extended to the textile and apparel industry, and innovation is integrated into NITRA’s culture. This recognition from CII marks another consecutive year, as NITRA was also acknowledged as one of the topmost innovative institutes in 2022 and 2023.
