November 15, 2024. Circulose is pleased to announce today the appointment of its new CEO and chairman of the board. Two capable professionals with extensive experience have joined Circulose to further the company’s goal of becoming a worldwide leader in renewable textiles.
Circulose has named Jonatan Janmark as its new CEO and Helena Helmersson as its new chairman of the board. On December 1st, 2024, they will begin their positions.
“A competitor like Circulose, which has the ability to turn the textile industry into a circular economy, would require seasoned and accomplished executives to spearhead that transformation. We are now addressing it, and we are really pleased to have drawn in Helena and Jonatan—a real ideal team. Their knowledge and experience are essential to ensuring that Circulose has a safe and prosperous future. They will be a great addition to Magnus, who has done an excellent job navigating Circulose through an intensive year as interim CEO and will continue to lead operations moving forward” said Clara Zverina, Principal at Altor.
Helena Helmersson, who most recently served as CEO of H&M Group, brings a wealth of expertise from the fashion sector and is a leader in sustainability to Circulose.
“I’m excited to join Circulose and serve as Chair to help the organisation. Our team is full of brilliant individuals that are prepared to accomplish our ambitious mission. I am glad to be working with Altor, our partnership will benefit from their industrial heritage and helping companies scale. Circulose feels very much like a natural fit, for me and for the future, and I look forward to contributing with my many years of experience in the fashion industry.” said Helena Helmersson, Chair of Circulose.
As a partner at McKinsey & Company, Jonatan Janmark brings extensive knowledge from the consumer and textile industries to his job as CEO of Circulose.
I’ve had the good pleasure to spend the last several years working with both textile producers and brands to guide businesses through the sustainability shift in the clothing and textile sector. I jumped at the chance to join Circulose as soon as it presented itself. Now that we have a solid staff, we will concentrate on bolstering Circulose in order to facilitate the essential transition from a linear to a circular textile sector. We are totally dedicated to completing the transformation, even though we are aware of the numerous obstacles that lie ahead and that it won’t happen right now’, stated Jonatan Janmark, CEO of Circulose.
