Dr. Manmohan Singh conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla on behalf of AIAI on 16th January 1996 at the Taj Mahal Hotel. It was the first lifetime award to Mr. Aditya Birla given by Manmohan Singh which was accepted by Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla on behalf of his Father.
Dr. Manmohan Singh changed the perception of India throughout the world and encouraged us to dream big as members of the international community. Once thought to be a far-off fantasy, the changes he started are now a tangible reality.
