Finnish firm Suominen appoints Jonni Friman as SVP

At Suominen, Jonni Friman has been named the transformation management office’s senior vice president (SVP). He will report to CEO Tommi Björnman and be a member of Suominen’s executive team. On June 1, 2023, Friman will begin working in his new post.

“Jonni will begin directing the transformation with a systematic and comprehensive strategy as we work to reposition Suominen towards a profitable growth trajectory. He will be in charge of organising our improvement initiatives and carrying out our strategy. I have no doubt that Jonni’s broad expertise and knowledge will significantly improve our course of action, said Björnman.

Throughout the years, Friman has held a number of high-level positions in numerous organisations. He presently serves as Sydeemi Oy’s managing director. Prior to that, Friman began working at Capacent Oy. as a senior manager from 2008 to 2010, advancing to the position of business unit director between 2010 and 2013, and then serving as a partner from 2013 to 2016, Suominen said in a media release.

Friman’s background also includes a strong foothold in supply chain and business development, holding several key positions at Nokia Corporation from 1995 to 2007.
