FLUX GmbH Increases the Number of Precision Rotating Encoders

Austria’s Braunau am Inn, ,the high-precision encoder manufacturer FLUX GmbH (FLUX) announced the addition of a new 150mm size variation to its GMI Rotary Encoder product line.

The unique Giant Magneto Impedance (GMI®) technology from FLUX is used in GMI Rotary Encoders to provide durability, huge mounting tolerances, and hysteresis-free, absolute performance. With IP67-rated steel or aluminium housings for tough environments, no hysteresis, and real-time position update rates, GMI Rotary Encoders provide great accuracy, repeatability, and resolution.

The features of the GMI Rotary Encoder

  • Small and hollow shaft High resolution and accuracy

  • Strong, 1P67 accessible

  • broad tolerance for rising

  • Plug-and-play: no calibration of the field

  • Wider temperature range

GMI Applications for rotary encoders:

  • Robotic joints and cobots

  • Drones and UAVs

  • Gimbals

  • Robots for medicine

  • Motors with torque for industry

“We are happy to add more sizes to our GMI-ROT product line,” stated Paul Tutzu, FLUX GmbH’s Managing Director and Founder. “We have GMI and inductive technology ranges available in thousands of configurations as standard with options for customisation, depending on customer requirements.”
