HAL and DRDO Labs Sign New Contracts with MSME Giant

Delhi, India’s New Delhi
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratories, including the Instrument Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), and Defence Bio-Engineering & Electro Medical Laboratory (DEBEL), have placed several important orders with Applied Electro Magnetics Pvt. Ltd. (AEM), a top MSME that specialises in the manufacturing of defence and railways solutions. AEM has further strengthened its position in the market by securing orders from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

Reputable private businesses like Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Alpha Design Technologies Limited, as well as well-known government and public sector undertakings (PSUs) like the Indian Air Force, Indian Railways, Bharat Electronics Limited, and Central Electronics Limited, continue to use AEM, which has a current order book worth over INR 58 crore.

AEM was founded about fifty years ago, but in 2017 company was admitted into insolvency proceedings due to financial difficulties. The company’s transformation, however, started in April 2019 when the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) accepted a resolution plan put up by the new management, which was headed by Directors Sharad and Dhruv Maheshwari. Since then, AEM has shown impressive development, steadily raising both its top and bottom lines annually.

A group of 110 highly qualified experts, including 35 engineers committed to research and development, are the driving force behind AEM’s success. The team has a wealth of expertise from companies like Airbus Defence, DRDO, Mahindra Defence, L&T Defence, and others, and includes alumni from prestigious universities like IITs. “As we continue to witness growing demand from our customers, we are actively expanding our team by bringing in talented professionals to ensure we deliver exceptional service,” said Dhruv Maheshwari, Director of AEM.

“Our growth has been driven by our focus on innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centric solutions,” stated AEM Managing Director Sharad Maheshwari. “We are optimistic about attaining a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 25% annually.”

AEM is well-positioned to maintain its rising trajectory and help India become more self-reliant in railway and defence technology because to its strong order book, knowledgeable team, and clear mission.
