China, January 9, 2025. With new features leveraging market expansion, Cinte Techtextil China will make a comeback to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from September 3–5. Along with other carefully planned improvements, the next edition will introduce two product zones—the Medtech & Protech Zone and the Mobiltech Zone—in addition to its standard European Zone. With an emphasis on sustainability and innovation, the fair’s fringe program will maximise marketing and information sharing among attendees with activities like Econogy Talks, an inventive product exhibition, and other thematic conferences and presentations.
Cinte Techtextil China, Asia’s exclusive specialised exhibition for the whole range of technical textiles and nonwovens, facilitates networking and business matching possibilities throughout the worldwide value chain. Two more areas for medical and protective uses as well as automotive applications will be added to the show this year. Such related segments of the global textile market are expected to experience a positive CAGR, including medical & hygiene products (4.3%, 2023 – 2030)[1]; safety & protection (3.9%, 2024 – 2030)[2]; and automotive (3.2%, 2022 – 2030)[3]; and the organisers expect to harness market potential with the creation of the new zones.
“The key to Cinte Techtextil China’s long-term growth as the largest global organiser of textile trade fairs is combining the strength of Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network to market needs as global economies evolve,” stated Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. The purposeful creation of these new zones enables us to take advantage of underutilised prospects for exhibitors and attendees in high-potential technical textile and nonwoven sub-sectors, while also guiding the industry towards a sustainable and innovative future.
Sustainability is now a prevailing commitment rather than an effort, which has created new opportunities for the development of technical textiles and nonwovens. The sales department minister of Nihon Glass Fibre Industrial Co., Ltd., Mr. Lin Yang, made the following statement at the 2024 edition: “The sustainability trend has fostered the robust growth of new energy vehicles and in turn the automotive interior material businesses.” Green application will become the mainstay of automotive textile development under the global eco-trend, as more automakers use functional fibres to increase the durability and anti-high-energy radiation properties of automobile materials. and so forth. According to Mr. Denis Wallrafen, Sales Manager of Reifenhäuser Enka Tecnica, who is a few booths away, the company has “developed an innovative, cost-effective method for refurbishing spunbond and meltblown spinnerets without compromising quality, with the same excellent performance of a new spinneret.” He also called sustainability “the rule for success.”
Eco-transition is occurring throughout the industry, and attendees of Cinte Techtextil China 2024 were impressed by the related offerings from a variety of important exhibitors, such as ANDRITZ, IBENA (for protective applications), KSA Polymer Hanoi, Monosuisse Group (particularly for filtration and medical applications), and others. Ms. Claudia Moreno, the Mexican sourcing manager for Group Dragon, stated: “I am happy with the sustainable options available, and the fair has introduced me to new suppliers and a variety of innovative products.” Given the importance of these items in the future, I have already established useful relationships for possible cooperation.
In 2025, Cinte Techtextil China will once more place a high priority on sustainability and innovation, as well as its tendency to close gaps between Asian and Western markets. “As one of the most important fairs for us in China, Cinte Techtextil China covers the domestic market, while we also receive a lot of international visitors here, allowing us to exchange ideas and gain market insights,” said Mr. Kabilen Sornum, Vice President Asia Pacific of Marketing & E-Commerce at Groz-Beckert East Asia, speaking at the previous edition, which drew close to 17,000 visitors from 77 countries and regions. Since China is a huge market, we frequently sell to them both directly and indirectly at the fair where all of our users congregate.
The 12 application areas covered by the fair’s product categories fully include the whole spectrum of possible applications in contemporary technical textiles and nonwovens. The entire industry is covered by these categories as well, from suppliers of raw materials and upstream technologies to final textiles, chemicals, and other solutions. The expo serves as a productive business platform for the whole sector because to the variety of product categories and application areas offered.
The dates of Cinte Techtextil China are set for September 3–5, 2025.
The China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA), the Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT), and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. are the organisers of the exhibition.
