MathWorks Collaborates with DesignTech and IEEE Rajasthan Subsection to Power Pedagogy in AI and EV

July 31, 2024, Jaipur: Leading provider of mathematical computing software, MathWorks, partnered with DesignTech Systems India and the IEEE Rajasthan Subsection to present a one-day seminar on the cutting edge of artificial intelligence (AI) and electric vehicles (EVs) called “Powering Pedagogy – Seminar on Electric Mobility and Artificial Intelligence in Education.” On July 31, 2024, around 70 academics, researchers, and business executives attended the Radisson Blu, Jaipur event. The Rajasthan region is covered by the IEEE Jaipur Subsection, which seeks to develop chances for technological advancement in the educational ecosystem.

Professor D. Boolchandani, who chairs the IEEE Rajasthan Subsection and teaches Electronics and Communication Engineering at MNIT Jaipur, stated, “The seminar in Jaipur underscores our commitment to fostering knowledge exchange, supported by partnerships with MathWorks, and equipping professionals with the tools and insights needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving engineering landscape.”

During the lecture, Prof. N. P. Padhy, Chairperson (I/C) BOG, Director, MNIT Jaipur, gave the academic keynote. Experts from MathWorks addressed a range of subjects at the event, such as how AI and EV system-level development are accelerated by MATLABĀ® and SimulinkĀ®, AI in engineering applications, interoperability with Python for AI applications, and instructional guidelines for EV modeling and simulation skills development. Additionally, the Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering departments received certificates for their faculty, staff, and researchers’ dedication to academic excellence and industry collaboration through the use of MATLAB and Simulink, and the LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT) was given the MathWorks Credentialing plaque.

“At MathWorks, we are committed to leading change by providing a platform to share knowledge, explore new technologies, and inspire each other,” stated Chandan Pramanik, Director of Education, MathWorks India. This kind of seminar is essential for academics to keep ahead of the curve in AI and EV breakthroughs as it guides them in incorporating the newest technology into their curricula. The success of the seminar highlights how crucial it is for businesses, academic institutions, corporations, and startups to work together in the ever-changing AI and EV world.

Concerning the IEEE Rajasthan Subsection

As a developing sub-section under the auspices of the IEEE Delhi Section, the IEEE Rajasthan Subsection is a part of IEEE’s Asia-Pacific Region, or Region 10. Since its founding on June 20, 2015, it has grown to include over 650 active members who are connected to over 25 colleges across Rajasthan. The purpose of this part is to facilitate greater networking within Rajasthan between professional and student members. Through its exciting events, the sub-section is dedicated to its members’ professional growth.

Concerning DesignTech Systems India

In 1998, DesignTech Systems, an Indian company, had a modest start. DesignTech Systems began to grow under the direction of Managing Director Vikas Khanvelkar and with the motivating help of Director and partner Sachin Chougule. They started offering technological leadership in the CAD, CAE, and PLM domains, which led to the enrollment of more than 2200 clients in their ecosystem. DesignTech’s success has been fueled by invention, perseverance, discipline, and devotion.
