Leadership Transition at Lenzing AG

Lenzing AG announces key changes to its Supervisory Board ahead of the 81st Annual General Meeting on April 17, 2025:

  • Cord Prinzhorn, current Supervisory Board Chairman, will step down at the end of his term to focus on other engagements within B&C Group.
  • Patrick Lackenbucher, Managing Director of B&C Group, has been nominated as a new board member and is designated to take over as Chairman on an interim basis.
  • Leonardo Grimaldi, a member of the Management Board of Suzano, will replace Marcelo Bacci as a Supervisory Board member.

Outgoing Chairman Cord Prinzhorn reflects on his tenure, highlighting major investment projects in Brazil, Thailand, and China, as well as cost reductions and financial optimizations that have strengthened Lenzing’s market position.

Incoming Chairman Patrick Lackenbucher emphasizes Lenzing’s commitment to profitability and long-term sustainability, with strong backing from core shareholders B&C and Suzano.

Lenzing CEO Rohit Aggarwal expresses gratitude to Cord Prinzhorn for his leadership and looks forward to working with Patrick Lackenbucher, whose 15 years of experience with Lenzing will be instrumental in steering the company forward.

New Board Member – Leonardo Grimaldi

Leonardo Grimaldi, an expert in the global pulp market, brings extensive leadership experience. He currently serves as:

  • Executive Vice President at Suzano
  • Supervisory Board Chairman at Portocel (Brazilian port operator)
  • Supervisory Board member at Veracel Celulose S/A

Looking Ahead

Cord Prinzhorn will remain Chairman until April 17, 2025. The election of Patrick Lackenbucher as the new Chairman is scheduled for the Supervisory Board meeting following the Annual General Meeting.
