Monforts Showcases Cutting-Edge Textile Tech at Techtextil NA
A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG will present its latest coating and finishing innovations for technical textiles at Techtextil North America, taking place May 6–8 in Atlanta, Georgia. Together with PSP Marketing, its U.S. representative, Monforts will exhibit at Stand 3231 in the VDMA German Pavilion.
The spotlight will be on the versatile MontexCoat unit, capable of applying diverse treatments—from full PVC coatings to low-penetration surface applications—using various methods like knife coating, roller coating, and solvent-based processes. The unit’s design allows for fast transitions between fabric types while minimizing energy and material waste.
Monforts also offers the economical coaTTex unit for more focused air knife and knife-over-roller coating needs. Both systems are backed by real-world testing facilities at the company’s Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Mönchengladbach, Germany, where a pilot Montex line allows for high-precision trials at industrial scale.
A standout capability includes dual-temperature treatments in a single pass, ideal for complex applications such as blackout blinds, PTFE-coated filters, or rubber-backed floorcoverings. Monforts’ solutions also cater to high-tension needs with stenters capable of pulling 10 tons in both directions, vital for dense or high-performance textiles like 3D knits and filters.
According to Area Sales Manager Achim Gesser, Monforts aims to demonstrate how its German-engineered equipment delivers unmatched reliability, energy efficiency, and continuous operation—essential traits for manufacturers of everything from geotextiles to automotive and flame-retardant fabrics.
