Lenovo has joined forces with Toray Industries and Boeing to introduce a new era of sustainable technology. The latest ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 boasts a unique feature – its casing is reinforced with recycled carbon fiber (rCF) sourced from the production process of Boeing 787 components.

The recycled carbon fiber, recovered using Toray’s advanced pyrolysis process, not only adds strength and durability to the laptop but also contributes to diverting carbon fiber from landfill, creating a valuable feedstock for new products. Lenovo plans to extend the use of rCF beyond the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12, highlighting a dedication to sustainable practices across their product line.
