Strong local attendance is enjoyed by ITMA Asia + CITME 2024.

ITMA ASIA + CITME, the premier textile equipment show in the area, concluded its five-day exposition on October 18, 2024, with a victorious conclusion on November 6, 2024. About 90,000 people visited it, and many locals were present. There were 111 nations and regions represented among the guests.

China accounted for 87 percent of the visits. Thirty-one cities and provinces sent local guests. Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong, Fujian, Hebei, Henan, Anhui and Hubei ranked in the top ten, demonstrating the strong vitality of the textile industry in these regions and the interest in new textile machinery trends.

India led the list of foreign visitors, same like in the 2022 edition. South Korea, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Iran come next.

According to the show’s organisers, CEMATEX, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT TEX), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), and China International Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC), several exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of their participation.

“As always, ITMA ASIA + CITME confirms itself as a decisive textile machinery exhibition for the huge Chinese market,” said Federico Businaro of Sperotto Rimar. We made a lot of contacts and had promising sales opportunities.

Baldwin Technology Company VP Global Business Development Rick Stanford concurred, saying, “We thought our involvement was a really valuable experience and it produced better than expected results.” The calibre of locals who visited our exhibit was outstanding.

A number of Chinese exhibitors expressed satisfaction with their involvement as well. “A lot of customers came with the intention of sourcing fully computerised machines,” stated Tan Jingdan, General Manager of Changshu Guosheng Knitting Machinery Factory. We had a number of orders on the first day of the show. This demonstrates that the business is headed in the right direction with its goal of pursuing sophisticated, high-end solutions.

“ITMA ASIA + CITME has once again impressively demonstrated that quality and innovation are still the main factors for not only surviving against an ever-increasing competition, but also for emerging from it stronger,” said Stephan Kehry, International Sales Manager Textile Division, Erhardt+Leimer, summarising the sentiments of numerous exhibitors.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024, which took place at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai, covered 160,000 square meters and took up six halls. More than 1,700 top producers of textile machines from 22 nations and regions were drawn to it.

Next year, ITMA ASIA + CITME, Singapore 2025 will be held at the Singapore Expo from 28 to 31 October 2025 (www.itmaasiasingapore.com).
