Archroma and Prosperity Textile Partner to Advance Denim Innovation

The collaboration will focus on developing denim fabrics with improved aesthetics, durability and performance while supporting more sustainable production.

Archroma and Prosperity Textile have announced a partnership to advance denim innovation and develop new fabric solutions. The collaboration will focus on improving denim aesthetics, durability and performance, with sustainability as a shared priority.

Announced on 19 October 2026 in Pratteln, Switzerland, the partnership brings together Archroma, a global specialty chemicals company, and Prosperity Textile, an international fabric manufacturer with production facilities in China and Vietnam.

The companies plan to develop, evaluate and implement new approaches to denim manufacturing. Their collaboration aims to translate innovative ideas into commercially viable solutions for denim brands and consumers.

Focus on Denim Performance and Sustainability

The partnership will explore new ways to enhance the appearance, durability and performance of denim fabrics. Both companies intend to combine their expertise to develop solutions that meet changing market expectations while supporting more sustainable production practices.

Jordi Calucho, Super Systems Denim Director at Archroma, highlighted the importance of collaboration in bringing new technologies and ideas to market.

“An innovation only matters once it reaches the market, and that takes a partner who will help shape it, test it and run it at scale,” Calucho said.

He added that Prosperity Textile’s manufacturing capabilities would support the development of denim solutions that combine the desired appearance and lasting performance with more sustainable production methods.

Prosperity Textile Brings Manufacturing Expertise

Prosperity Textile will contribute its denim manufacturing experience and smart factory infrastructure to the collaboration. The company has 25 years of experience in the denim sector and operates production facilities in China and Vietnam.

Stafford Lau, Director at Prosperity Textile, said the company’s manufacturing capabilities support the rapid development and testing of new ideas before they move into production.

“After 25 years in denim, we know what it takes to turn a good idea into a great fabric,” Lau said.

He noted that the company’s smart factory infrastructure enables it to develop and test new concepts quickly and scale promising solutions for manufacturing.

The partnership will explore opportunities across a range of denim styles, from classic fabrics to more creative designs.

Collaboration Aims to Accelerate Denim Innovation

By combining Archroma’s specialty chemicals expertise with Prosperity Textile’s fabric development and manufacturing capabilities, the companies aim to advance denim innovation from development through commercial production.

The collaboration will focus on identifying and implementing solutions that address fabric appearance, durability and performance while supporting sustainability goals.

The partnership reflects the importance of cooperation between chemical suppliers and textile manufacturers in developing new materials and processes for the global denim industry.
