Bemberg™ and fashion designer Anita Dongre have renewed their decade-long collaboration with the launch of “BREATH,” a ready-to-wear collection that brings together craftsmanship, comfort and environmental consciousness.
The collection arrives in a landmark year for Bemberg™, marking 50 years of exports to India. Featuring 18 key silhouettes, BREATH reflects the shared philosophy of Bemberg™ and Anita Dongre around thoughtful craftsmanship and more responsible fashion.
A Decade of Shared Values
The collaboration represents ten years of Anita Dongre choosing Bemberg™ based on shared principles rather than trends. The new collection builds on this long-standing relationship, combining the designer’s distinctive aesthetic with the characteristics of Bemberg™ fibre.

BREATH: Where Comfort Meets Design
BREATH features 18 feminine silhouettes inspired by the colours, textures and movement of nature. The collection’s palette draws from tropical greens, delicate fern tones, ancient rainforest shades, clear skies and deep ocean blues.
The designs include draped stoles, cascading lengths, translucent sarees, asymmetric necklines and fluid hems, creating silhouettes intended to move naturally with the wearer.
Designed with subtropical climates in mind, the collection focuses on lightweight comfort while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. The garments demonstrate how ease, movement and refined fashion design can coexist.
Bemberg™ at the Heart of the Collection
Bemberg™ forms the central material story of BREATH. Known for its soft feel against the skin, the fibre is positioned in the collection as a material suited to garments where comfort and fluidity are important.
According to the collaboration, Bemberg™ is biodegradable in soil and marine environments under certain conditions, with its biodegradability certified by a third-party testing organisation.
The material’s characteristics complement the collection’s broader focus on creating fashion inspired by nature while considering the environmental journey of textiles.
