Cinte Techtextil China 2026 is set to open next week at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, bringing together more than 300 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions for one of Asia’s leading trade fairs for technical textiles and nonwovens.
Scheduled for 1–3 September 2026, the exhibition will occupy Halls W3 to W5 and showcase innovations across nine product categories and 12 application areas. The event will place particular emphasis on high-growth segments including Mobiltech, Medtech, Protech and Indutech, while providing opportunities for exhibitors to connect with buyers from China, the Asia-Pacific region and international markets.
Global Technical Textile Community Comes Together
Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA), the 2026 edition will bring together technology providers, material manufacturers, industry associations and buyers across the technical textile value chain.
The exhibition will feature a strong international presence in the Overseas Zone in Hall W5, with companies including Andritz (China) Ltd, Groz-Beckert, A.Celli SPA and Dilo. Picanol NV will also exhibit in Hall W4.
The European Zone will feature companies such as Monosuisse Group and Comerio Ercole, while the German Zone will showcase suppliers including IBENA Textilwerke and Mahlo. The Textile Chemicals and Dyes Zone will also return with solutions for a broad range of technical applications.

Association Village Strengthens International Collaboration
One of the key features of this year’s exhibition will be the Association Village in Hall W5. The platform is designed to encourage international networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration while highlighting developments shaping the future of technical textiles.
Participating organisations include the Asia International Hemp Federation (AIHF) of Thailand, UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), the Government of Tamil Nadu, India, and the Nonwoven Federation of India (NWFI).
The initiative reflects the growing importance of international cooperation as technical textile markets become increasingly connected across regions and application industries.
Focus on High-Growth Application Areas
Cinte Techtextil China 2026 will highlight technologies and materials developed for several rapidly expanding application sectors.
Mobiltech
The Mobiltech segment will showcase solutions for the automotive and mobility industries. Exhibitors include JR Ltd of Korea and Eastex Industrial Science & Technology of China.
Chinese manufacturer Tiandingfeng Holdings Co Ltd will present high-strength PET filament needle-punched nonwovens. The dedicated Mobiltech Zone in Hall W4 will bring together additional suppliers serving automotive and mobility applications.
Medtech
Medical and hygiene textiles will receive significant attention, with first-time exhibitor NIPPON Paper Industries Co Ltd presenting its Cu-TOP functional material, developed by combining wood pulp with copper technology.
The Reifenhauser Group will showcase nonwoven production solutions in Hall W5. Reifenhauser Reicofil will present complete nonwoven production lines, while Reifenhauser Enka Tecnica will highlight components and services designed to support equipment longevity.
Medical and hygiene nonwovens will also be represented by Yixiang Health Technology Co Ltd and Zhejiang Kingsafe Hygiene Materials Technology Co Ltd.
Protech
The protective textiles segment will feature companies developing advanced safety materials. New exhibitor Tepar Tekstil San Ve Tic A S from Türkiye and Dawnsens New Materials (Xiamen) Co Ltd from China are among the companies exhibiting solutions for the Protech market.
Indutech
Japan-based IMAE Industries Ltd will make its debut at the fair. The company specialises in thermal insulation fibre products and fine ceramics for sectors including heavy industry, automotive, iron and steel, chemicals and power generation.
New International Exhibitors and Buyer Participation
The 2026 edition will also introduce several first-time international exhibitors, including Care Holdings Pte Ltd from Singapore and Texbond Nonwovens from India.
China’s domestic innovation will be represented through dedicated pavilions in Hall W3 for medical and hygiene textiles and Hall W4 for filtration and separation textiles.
Buyer participation is also expected to strengthen the international character of the exhibition. Overseas visitor pre-registrations have increased compared with the same period last year, including 139 VIP buyers from 27 countries and regions.
These buyers include representatives from companies such as Hyundai Motor Company, Sejong Healthcare, Meditec Japan, ALSICO, Focus Industries, Freudenberg Performance Materials Service and MöllerWerke.
Seven international buyer delegations from key industry centres across Asia-Pacific and other regions will further contribute to the show’s business opportunities.
Fringe Programme to Address Sustainability and Innovation
Alongside the exhibition, Cinte Techtextil China 2026 will host a comprehensive programme of conferences, panel discussions, guided tours and presentations.
On the opening day, a panel discussion titled “Industrial Hemp Fibre – Building the Future of Sustainable Materials” will examine Thailand’s experience in developing hemp-based materials through cross-sector innovation and international investment.
The accompanying AIHF display area will demonstrate the transformation of hemp stalks into applications including bioplastics, composites, mobility components and lifestyle products.
The 2026 Nonwovens Industry High-Quality Development Conference will also take place on Day 1 under the theme “Redefine the growth paradigm.” Discussions will examine China’s nonwovens industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan, alongside developments and opportunities in India and the United States.
Automotive Textiles in Focus
Automotive applications will receive additional attention on Day 2 through the panel discussion “Defining the Future Cabin: Multi-functional Evolution of Nonwoven Materials in Automotive.”
The session will bring together automotive end users, Tier-1 suppliers and nonwoven technology providers to examine how multifunctional nonwovens are influencing next-generation vehicle interiors.
The Mobiltech Display Area in Hall W4 will complement the discussion with exhibits from companies and organisations including Groz-Beckert, AIHF, Care Holdings and Swisstulle.
Sustainability Remains a Major Theme
Sustainability will be another major focus of the 2026 programme. UKFT will deliver a dedicated sustainability presentation, while a Sustainability Tour led by Karl Borgschulze, Managing Director of Consulting Service Intl Ltd, will provide visitors with insights into sustainable technical textile solutions.
Additional guided tours will cover medical textiles, protective textiles, automotive textiles, and tents and coverings.
The programme will also include sessions on technology innovation and product development, flushable wipes, industrial textiles under China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and other emerging areas.
A Complete Platform for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens
With its combination of international exhibitors, specialised application zones, association participation, buyer delegations and technical conferences, Cinte Techtextil China 2026 aims to provide a comprehensive platform covering the technical textile and nonwoven value chain.
The exhibition will connect upstream technology and raw-material suppliers with manufacturers, converters and end users across diverse sectors, while highlighting developments in areas ranging from mobility and healthcare to protection, filtration, sustainability and industrial applications.
