eVent® Fabrics is expanding its partnership with HLINC Golf, a premium golf apparel brand combining technical outdoor performance with traditional golf aesthetics. HLINC apparel featuring eVent’s plant-based stormST waterproof/breathable laminate is now available at 45 links courses and 10 non-links courses across Ireland and the U.K.
Founded in Ireland and launched in 2025, HLINC was developed around the concept that golf apparel can combine traditional styling with performance technologies commonly used in technical outdoor apparel.
The brand draws inspiration from the unpredictable conditions associated with links golf in Ireland and Scotland. Its apparel combines golf’s traditional aesthetic with technologies designed for outdoor performance.
“HLINC is doing something pretty different in golf,” said Chad Kelly, Vice President of eVent Fabrics. “They’re taking the performance expectations we’ve seen for years in outdoor apparel and bringing them to a sport where tradition still plays a huge role. That makes them a great partner for eVent, and we’re excited to see how quickly the brand is growing.”
eVent stormST technology for golf apparel
At the centre of the partnership is eVent stormST, a plant-derived waterproof/breathable laminate designed to provide waterproof protection, breathability, stretch and quiet performance for golf apparel.
HLINC’s eVent stormST collection includes waterproof jackets, trousers, gilets, bucket hats and caps. The products are designed for golfers seeking weather protection without the noise, restriction or bulk often associated with conventional waterproof golf apparel.
“Golfers don’t stop playing because the weather changes,” said Ian Forrester, Founder of HLINC Golf. “Especially in Ireland and Scotland, you need apparel that can handle whatever the day throws at you. We wanted to build golfwear that performs like technical outdoor gear, but still feels right on the course. eVent is proving to be a perfect partner.”
HLINC expands presence across links courses
HLINC apparel using eVent stormST is currently available at 45 links courses and 10 non-links courses, including Royal County Down, which is currently ranked the No. 1 golf course in the world.
The partnership also received visibility during the recent Walker Cup at Lahinch Golf Club, where all caddies wore HLINC apparel.
Actor and avid golfer Bill Murray has also been spotted wearing the HLINC brand.
The brand’s growing presence on links courses reflects its focus on the environments that inspired its development. Rather than beginning with a conventional golf apparel line and adding technical features, HLINC started with the requirements of links golf and developed apparel around those conditions.
The expanded partnership with eVent Fabrics brings waterproof and breathable laminate technology into a growing range of golf apparel designed for changing weather conditions on the course.
