Opening ceremony to examine supply-chain challenges and the need for closer dialogue across the textile and fashion industry.
The 66th edition of Filo will open on September 15, 2026, at Fiera Milano Rho, with an opening ceremony focused on the future of the textile and fashion supply chain. Titled “Weaving the Future: The Balance for a Stronger, More Competitive Textile and Fashion Supply Chain,” the session will bring together industry representatives for introductory remarks and a round-table discussion.
The opening ceremony of the 66th edition of Filo is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Filo Networking Area – Hall 24 of Fiera Milano Rho.
The ceremony will be held under the title “Weaving the Future: The Balance for a Stronger, More Competitive Textile and Fashion Supply Chain.” The programme will feature contributions from representatives of the textile, fashion and industrial sectors, followed by a round-table discussion.
The opening remarks will be delivered by Paolo Monfermoso, Responsible of Filo; Pier Francesco Corcione, General Manager of the Unione Industriale Biellese; Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle; and Matteo Masini, Head of the Consumer Goods Office of ITA – Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies.
The round table will include Michele Pozzi, Sales Director of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale; Cesare Cigolini, Manager of Achille Pinto; Stefano Aglietta, Italfil spa, President of the Spinning Section of Unione Industriale Biellese; Marco Bortolini, CEO of Di.Vè, Vice President of Unione Industriale Biellese; Patrizia Salemi, Head of HR at Vimar; and Sergio Tamborini, Past President of Confindustria Moda and President of RetexGreen.
The discussion will be moderated by Laura Ricardi, Head of the Unione Industriale Biellese’s Press Office.
The ceremony will focus on the textile-fashion supply chain and the importance of closer, detailed and responsible dialogue among the different participants across the production chain. According to the event programme, supply-chain dynamics and coordination among its various players are among the challenges facing the future of the textile-fashion industry.
Filo has placed this dialogue at the centre of the opening ceremony, with the discussion forming a key part of the programme for its 66th edition.
