Jeanologia Reports Progress on Sustainability and Business Performance

Sustainability Report 2025 highlights reductions in operational emissions and environmental impacts associated with Jeanologia technologies across the textile industry.

Jeanologia Reports Sustainability Progress in 2025

Valencia, 17 September 2026: Jeanologia has released its Sustainability Report 2025, outlining the environmental and social performance of its operations and the impact associated with the use of its technologies across the global textile industry.

According to the report, the use of Jeanologia technologies in textile factories worldwide prevented 21.52 million m³ of water from being polluted and 103.53 million kg of CO₂ from being emitted, compared with traditional textile finishing processes.

The company also reported that more than 96% of its turnover is associated with activities aligned with the EU Taxonomy.

“Sustainability is not a destination or a department. It is a way of thinking, creating and acting. Real transformation only happens when sustainability and business progress together,” said Enrique Silla, founder and CEO of Jeanologia.

Jeanologia Reduces Its Operational Carbon Footprint

Jeanologia reported a 13.64% reduction in its own carbon footprint in 2025.

Its carbon footprint decreased from 895.79 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent in 2024 to 773.57 tonnes in 2025.

The company said its sustainability approach combines efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its own operations with the development of technologies intended to reduce resource consumption and environmental impacts associated with textile manufacturing.

EU Taxonomy Alignment

Jeanologia’s sustainability reporting also includes its first voluntary assessment of activities against the EU Taxonomy.

The company reported that:

  • 96.37% of turnover was associated with activities aligned with the EU Taxonomy.
  • 84.43% of CapEx was associated with aligned activities.
  • 34.96% of OpEx was associated with aligned activities.

According to Jeanologia, the activities were primarily associated with contributions to climate change mitigation and adaptation and the transition to a circular economy.

Social Responsibility and Global Compact Commitment

Jeanologia’s sustainability approach also covers social responsibility and its engagement with communities where it operates.

The company said it supports social projects through long-term relationships with organisations rather than focusing exclusively on one-off initiatives.

Jeanologia has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact since 2019, aligning its approach with principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. The company also links its activities to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Focus on Measurement and Reporting

Jeanologia has made measurement a central part of its sustainability strategy.

The company published its first Sustainability Report in 2017 and introduced an Environmental Profit and Loss Account to quantify water savings and reductions in CO₂ emissions associated with its technologies.

In 2019, Jeanologia established a cross-functional Sustainability Committee, while in 2022 it professionalised its reporting process in line with United Nations principles and GRI Standards.

The Sustainability Report 2025 identifies priorities including improving the quality, consistency and traceability of emissions measurement, reducing operational impacts, increasing visibility across the value chain and strengthening resilience to climate change.

EIM Expands Environmental Measurement Across the Textile Industry

Jeanologia also aims to support environmental measurement across the textile industry through EIM (Environmental Impact Measuring), a methodology developed to measure textile process impacts in an objective and consistent manner.

In 2025, Jeanologia published its second EIM report, based on more than 100,000 real-world processes from 359 manufacturers across more than 40 countries.

The company said the dataset provides a data-driven view of the environmental impact of the global denim industry. Jeanologia is continuing to develop EIM as an independent unit and is allocating additional resources to its development.

Priorities for the Next Phase

The Sustainability Report 2025 combines an assessment of Jeanologia’s progress with priorities for future sustainability activities.

These include improving emissions measurement and traceability, reducing operational impacts, strengthening value-chain visibility and addressing climate resilience. Through its EIM methodology, the company is also working to expand the use of consistent environmental measurement across textile manufacturing.
