MATECIA 2026 Draws 65,000+ Visitors and 350+ Brands

The national edition of MATECIA Exhibition and THE WADE ASIA concluded in New Delhi after four days, bringing together brands, professionals and industry stakeholders from across India and overseas.

The 7th edition of the MATECIA Exhibition, covering Materials & Products for Construction, Interiors & Architecture, concluded alongside the 11th edition of THE WADE ASIA, India Furniture Conclave (IFC) and Material Technology Conference (MTC).

Held from 20 to 23 August 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, the four-day event brought together more than 350 brands and 65,000+ visitors from over 700 towns and cities across India. The event also recorded participation from more than 15 foreign countries.

350+ Brands Across Building and Interior Categories

The exhibition featured more than 350 exhibitors presenting over 1,000 products across approximately 5,00,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space.

Product categories included interior and architecture products, furniture, wood panels, surfaces, flooring, laminates, plywood, doors and windows, kitchens, wardrobes, hardware, machinery and allied products.

MATECIA brings together dealers and distributors, OEMs, architects and designers through its business-focused exhibition ecosystem. THE WADE ASIA provides a platform for architecture and design professionals, while India Furniture Conclave and India Interior Retailing focus on the furniture, retail and interior business segments.

MATECIA also operates regional editions in Bengaluru and Kolkata. The South India edition covers seven states, while the East and Northeast edition covers 12 states.

Industry Leaders Participate in the Event

The event was inaugurated in the presence of Aman Gupta, Co-founder, boAt and Founder & CEO, OFF/BEAT; Rajesh Mittal, President, FIPPI and CMD, Greenply Industries Ltd.; and Surinder Arora, President, ILMA and Managing Director, Virgo Laminates Ltd.

N.K. Agarwal, Patron, FIPPI, attended as Guest of Honour. Rupal Dalal, Managing Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, and Nandita Das, Filmmaker, Actor and Producer, joined the programme as Guests of Honour on Days 2 and 3, respectively, and presented awards to winners.

Dr. Ananta Raghuvanshi, Chairperson, NAREDCO MAHI, and Chitra Jain, President Elect, NAREDCO MAHI, were also associated with THE WADE ASIA programme.

India Interior Retailing Addresses Market Trends

The India Interior Retailing (IIR) Conference & Awards brought together dealers, distributors, retailers, manufacturers and industry leaders.

Sessions covered the future of the wood panel and decorative furniture industry, along with demand, competition and prospects for the interior infrastructure trade amid global volatility.

The discussions examined changing market conditions and opportunities across the interior and building materials value chain.

India Furniture Conclave Focuses on Industry Opportunities

The one-and-a-half-day India Furniture Conclave brought together furniture manufacturers, designers, architects, retailers and industry experts.

Sessions included “Luxury Furniture: Craftsmanship and Quality Making Indian Brands Global,” which discussed craftsmanship and quality in the development of Indian furniture brands, and “Turnkey Fit-Outs: Workspaces, Commercial, Hospitality,” which focused on requirements across commercial and hospitality spaces.

THE WADE ASIA Highlights Architecture and Design

THE WADE ASIA continued its programme focused on architecture, interior design, real estate, construction and the wider built environment.

Maddhu Chaudhury, Associate Director, THE WADE ASIA Architecture Event, said, “With 3000+ entries received annually from across India, 250 finalists and 50+ distinguished awardees across 28+ categories, THE WADE ASIA has established itself as one of the most coveted platforms for excellence, innovation and leadership in the design and built environment.”

The THE WADE ASIA Designs India Conference included the panel “The Business of Design Amidst Changing World and Disruptions,” which examined changing business conditions in architecture and design and the distinction between designing and building a professional practice.

Dr. Ning Huo, Executive Principal, AEDAS, Singapore, delivered a keynote titled “Designing Future Cities: From Infrastructure to Inspiring Urban Destinations.” The session explored urban development, transit investment and sustainability in rapidly growing Asian cities.

Another session, “The Gen Next Women in Real Estate,” presented by THE WADE ASIA and NAREDCO MAHI, brought together Dr. Priya Shah, Co-Founder & Joint Managing Director; Aashi Dua, Executive Director, Chintamanis Group; and Nidhi Aggarwal, Director, Signature Global. Preeti Singh Mundra, Additional Director General, NAREDCO, moderated the session.

SheDesigns Competition Recognises Design Work

The WADE ASIA SheDesigns National Competition and Live Jury Presentations featured finalists across categories including SheDesigns, Healthcare Interiors, Landscape Public Spaces, Commercial Office Spaces, Best Use of Colour in Interiors, Most Sustainable Design, Fascinating Facade, Residential Architecture and Retail Interiors.

Nandita Das, Filmmaker, Actor and Producer, said, “Platforms like THE WADE ASIA are important because when women come together as leaders and professionals, they also bring other women with them. It creates a space to learn, grow and discover what is possible. I would encourage women, and everyone interested in architecture and design, to come to such platforms, engage with each other and continue learning.”

Business Networking Across the Built Environment

Beyond exhibitions and conference sessions, the event provided opportunities for business meetings, informal interactions and professional networking among brands and industry participants.
