Polímeros y Derivados Implements Easy WMS to Improve Nonwoven Traceability

The Mexican manufacturer has integrated Mecalux’s warehouse management system with Microsoft Dynamics ERP to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse visibility and logistics efficiency.

Polímeros y Derivados, a Mexican manufacturer of nonwoven fabrics, has implemented Mecalux’s Easy WMS warehouse management system at its finished goods facility in León, Guanajuato. The implementation aims to improve material traceability, streamline warehouse operations and strengthen customer service.

Announced on 20 October 2026, the project marks a step forward in the company’s warehouse digitalisation strategy. Polímeros y Derivados supplies materials to several industries, including automotive, cleaning, construction and plastic tarpaulin manufacturing.

Previously, the company relied on manual processes supported by enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to manage its warehouse. It has now introduced a computerised system to improve inventory control and track nonwoven fabric rolls more efficiently.

Easy WMS Integrates with Microsoft Dynamics ERP

Easy WMS integrates with the company’s Microsoft Dynamics ERP system to manage multiple daily orders, each containing up to 40 order lines.

The system also supports Polímeros y Derivados’ two-dimensional labelling system. Using radio frequency (RF) devices, warehouse staff can capture essential product information, including dimensions, lot numbers, serial numbers and customer codes.

This information helps ensure accurate identification of pallets arriving from production. It also supports more reliable inventory records and improves visibility across warehouse operations.

Digital System Strengthens Nonwoven Fabric Traceability

One of the main objectives of the implementation was to establish traceability for the company’s large rolls of nonwoven fabric.

Previously, warehouse staff relied on manual procedures and colour coding to identify and track materials. Easy WMS has replaced these processes with a digital system designed to support accurate product identification and inventory management.

The system has also been aligned with the manufacturer’s internal quality control and information management procedures. This integration helps maintain consistency between warehouse data and existing operational requirements.

By computerising inventory procedures, Polímeros y Derivados has introduced a scalable approach to warehouse management that can support its future growth.

Supply Chain Analytics Supports Warehouse Decisions

Easy WMS also includes a Supply Chain Analytics capability that provides detailed information about warehouse performance.

This visibility can help the company monitor operations, assess performance and make more informed logistics decisions. Combined with digital product identification and ERP integration, the system supports a more structured approach to inventory control and order management.

The implementation reflects the growing role of warehouse digitalisation in manufacturing industries, where accurate material tracking and efficient order fulfilment are important to customer service.
