UP Approves ₹1,947-Crore PM MITRA Textile Park

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has selected Ramky Infrastructure Ltd as the preferred bidder for a major textile park project. The company will develop a 1,000-acre PM MITRA Mega Textile Park on the Lucknow-Hardoi border. The project has an estimated cost of ₹1,947 crore.

The Cabinet also approved spending proposals for seven drinking water and sewerage projects across Lucknow and Varanasi.

Textile Park Aims to Create One Lakh Jobs

The Central Government’s PM MITRA scheme will support the textile park’s development. The project aims to attract private investment and create jobs across the region.

A state government statement says the park could generate direct and indirect employment for around one lakh people.

The 1,000-acre project will add to Uttar Pradesh’s textile industry development. However, the state government statement does not specify a completion date or outline the facilities planned for the park.
