The new needlepunch line will help the Chinese manufacturer increase production of high-performance PTFE filtration materials.
Shandong Huazhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has ordered a high-speed needlepunch line from ANDRITZ. The equipment will be installed at the company’s headquarters in Jinan, Shandong Province, China.
Announced on October 14, 2026, the order continues a partnership that began in 2023. ANDRITZ previously supplied a batt forming line to Shandong Huazhe. That equipment was delivered successfully in 2024.
New Line to Expand PTFE Filtration Production
The new line will increase Shandong Huazhe’s capacity to produce filtration materials made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibre. These materials are used in high-performance filtration applications.
ANDRITZ has designed the line for high-speed and stable production. It will also handle fibres gently to help maintain consistent product quality.
The order value has not been disclosed. ANDRITZ has included the order in its third-quarter 2026 order intake. Delivery is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
New A-Type Needleloom to Make Commercial Debut
The project will feature the first commercial application of ANDRITZ’s new A-Type needleloom. This machine adds a new option to the company’s global needleloom portfolio.
The A-Type needleloom combines cost-efficient operation with production flexibility. Its random needle pattern capability is designed to improve the uniformity and performance of filtration materials.
This is particularly important in advanced filtration, where consistent material quality is essential. The project will also be the first PTFE filtration material production line supplied by ANDRITZ.
Partnership Builds on Previous Success
Shandong Huazhe and ANDRITZ began their cooperation in 2023. Their first project involved a batt forming line, which was delivered in 2024.
