The 8th edition of BCH’s ‘Right’ Hygiene Conference marked 20 years of the event with participation from 31 countries and 270 organisations in New Delhi.
The 8th edition of BCH’s ‘Right’ Hygiene Conference, held on September 8–9, 2026, at Andaz by Hyatt, New Delhi, brought together 600 participants from over 31 countries and 270 organisations, creating a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking and industry collaboration.
The conference brought together manufacturers and converters, FMCG and private-label brands, raw material and machinery suppliers, PE and VC firms, and stakeholders from government and social sectors. Discussions covered sanitary napkins, period panties, baby diapers, adult diapers and wet wipes, with innovations presented across products, processes, materials and machinery.
Notably, 70 brand and converter companies accounted for nearly one-third of participation, reflecting the evolution of India’s hygiene industry from a handful of players a decade ago.
‘Right’ Hygiene Marks 20 Years
The 2026 conference marked 20 years since ‘Right’ Hygiene began in 2006. The theme, “India Goes Global, World Goes India,” highlighted India’s expanding international presence and the interest of global players in its manufacturing, innovation and growth opportunities.
The first day opened with a 20-year retrospective featuring industry veterans Alok Birla of Swara Baby Products, Kamal Kumar Johari of Nobel Hygiene and Nirav Mehta of Dima Products. They reflected on the evolution of baby, adult and feminine hygiene in India and the sector’s future direction.
Sessions during the day examined the Indian market, manufacturing efficiency, global trends and innovation. Speakers and participating companies included BCH, Osprey Corporation, H.B. Fuller, Nordson India, Jofo Nonwovens, Nanliu Enterprise, The LYCRA Company and Sumitomo Seika.
The Global Stake Exchange Panel brought together international market leaders to discuss emerging trends and changing consumer expectations. Day 1 concluded with the ‘RIGHT’ Hygiene Awards, followed by cocktails and dinner.
Consumer and Market Opportunities Take Centre Stage
Day 2 focused on consumers, retail and India’s emerging opportunities. A Ladies’ Panel Discussion and a keynote by Supam Maheshwari of FirstCry examined retail transformation and the growing role of private labels.
Further sessions addressed market evolution, wet wipes, sustainable materials, manufacturing and standards. Participants included Romsons Group, Grasim Industries, Fibers365, Elixrr Industries, Sekhani Industries and BIS.
The Brands Panel and Industry Panel examined changes in the marketplace and the sector’s next phase.
Consumer Engagement and Product Showcase
A key feature of the conference was “Meet Your Consumer,” which brought consumer voices from different regions and segments into direct dialogue with industry participants.
The Right Hygiene Supermarket and OEM Marketplace showcased more than 200 hygiene products and brands alongside their manufacturers.
Before the conference, the workshop “Is India’s Absorbent Hygiene Industry Your Next Growth Opportunity?” brought together family businesses, new-age founders, investors and operators to discuss emerging opportunities in the sector.
The exhibition featured more than 55 companies, providing opportunities for product interaction and networking.

‘RIGHT’ Hygiene Awards Recognise Industry Contributions
The ‘RIGHT’ Hygiene Awards recognised contributions across the industry. H.B. Fuller received the Innovation Award, Grasim Industries received the Sustainability Award, and KTEX Nonwovens received the Made for India Award.
Special Market Leader Awards were presented across all product segments, while the BCH Legend Awards also recognised industry performance and leadership.

The conference also examined trends shaping Hygiene 2.0, described as a multi-billion-dollar opportunity driven by changing consumer needs, new production dynamics, private labels and contract manufacturing.
The event’s participation and discussions reflected the industry’s focus on innovation, sustainability and future growth.
The next edition of the conference is scheduled for September 7–9, 2027.
