The new adventure riding jacket and pants feature eVent alpineST 3-layer fabric for waterproof, breathable protection and PFAS-free performance.
eVent® Fabrics has partnered with Rocky Mountain ATV, which has selected eVent’s alpineST 3-layer fabric for its new 2027 MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket and MSR Xplorer ADV Pants. The riding gear is designed to provide waterproof, breathable protection for adventure motorcyclists facing changing weather and riding conditions.
Adventure riding can expose riders to heat, rain, wind and fluctuating temperatures during a single journey. The MSR Xplorer ADV system combines weather protection with durable materials, integrated armor and ventilation features designed to help riders manage airflow.
“Adventure riding can subject apparel to some pretty unique demands,” said Chad Kelly, Vice President of eVent Fabrics. “You can go from a hot, exposed stretch of trail to rain, altitude, and colder conditions in the same ride. The MSR Xplorer ADV is designed around that reality, and alpineST gives a waterproof, breathable foundation that helps riders stay comfortable as conditions change.”
MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket Features Waterproof, Breathable Fabric
The 2027 MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket uses eVent alpineST 3-layer fabric in its main body, finished with C0 durable water repellent (DWR) treatment for waterproof and breathable protection.
SuperFabric overlays at the shoulders and elbows provide additional abrasion resistance. The jacket also includes removable D3O Level 1 shoulder, elbow and back protectors for impact protection.
Its ventilation system features four large zippered intake vents at the biceps and chest, two double-headed wrist and forearm vents, and two large rear exhaust vents. These features allow riders to adjust airflow as temperatures change.
ADV Pants Combine Reinforced Materials and Ventilation
The MSR Xplorer ADV Pants use the same eVent alpineST 3-layer fabric and C0 DWR finish. SuperFabric overlays at the knees and 500D Cordura® in high-wear areas provide additional durability.
Removable D3O Level 1 knee and hip protectors offer added impact protection. Two large zippered thigh intake vents and two rear exhaust vents support airflow during rides.

Jacket and Pants Designed as a Combined Riding System
The jacket and pants feature a zip-together connection intended to keep the two pieces securely in place during use. Additional features include water-resistant YKK AquaGuard zippers, multiple storage options, reflective elements and adjustable fit features.
