Ben Muller has joined INDA as Executive Director, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across nonprofit organisations, corporations and trade associations as the association prepares for the next phase of its staff leadership.
INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has announced the appointment of Ben Muller as Executive Director. Muller brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning nonprofit organisations, corporations and trade associations.
Most recently, Muller served on the senior executive team of the High Point Market Authority, where he led marketing, public relations and educational programming for one of the world’s largest trade shows.
Before joining the High Point Market Authority, Muller held senior brand and marketing leadership positions with Hanesbrands and Kayser-Roth, where he gained experience across textile and apparel supply chains. He began his career with mission-driven organisations, including the American Cancer Society and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Leadership Transition at INDA
INDA’s current President and CEO, Tony Fragnito, will transition to an executive consultant role in January 2027. In this position, he will support the leadership transition and focus on projects and initiatives intended to expand the reach and participation of the Global Nonwovens Alliance (GNA).
Fragnito’s planned retirement is scheduled for December 2027.
The creation of the Executive Director position follows the formation of the GNA by INDA and EDANA and represents the next stage in the evolution of INDA’s staff leadership structure.
Muller will lead INDA’s strategic initiatives, oversee operations and represent the interests of the nonwovens industry across the Americas. His background in leadership, strategic marketing and member and industry engagement will support these responsibilities.
Muller Outlines Focus on Industry Engagement

Mark A. Thornton, chair of the INDA Board of Directors and vice president, Baby Care, Fem Care and Family Care Quality Assurance, The Procter & Gamble Company, recognised Fragnito’s leadership during a period of organisational and industry change.

As we look ahead, we are confident Ben brings the strategic thinking, industry experience and collaborative leadership needed to build on that strong foundation and guide INDA into its next chapter.”
GNA Leadership Welcomes Appointment
Murat Dogru, CEO, GNA, said Muller’s appointment would support the development of the Global Nonwovens Alliance through regional leadership and collaboration.

Fragnito also expressed his support for the leadership transition and his continued involvement during the handover period.

I am excited to support him as he helps lead INDA and a partner with Murat as he leads the Global Nonwovens Alliance.”
Muller’s appointment comes as INDA continues to develop its leadership structure following the creation of the Global Nonwovens Alliance, with the transition designed to maintain continuity in INDA’s operations and member relationships while supporting broader industry collaboration.
