New panel brings together academic and industry expertise to support research in technical textiles and advanced materials
Man Made Textiles Research Association (MANTRA), a textile research institute recognised by the Union Ministry of Textiles, has strengthened its Research Advisory Committee with experts from IITs, NITs, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) and the textile industry.
MANTRA is engaged in research, innovation, technology development and knowledge enhancement across technical textiles and conventional textiles. The latest appointments are intended to strengthen the institute’s research activities and align its programmes with the evolving technological requirements of the textile industry.
Research Advisory Committee to Guide Emerging Research Areas
The Research Advisory Committee will support MANTRA in identifying new and emerging areas of research and evaluating research proposals. It will also focus on promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthening industry-academia linkages.
Another key area of the committee’s role will be translating research outcomes into technologies with potential for commercial and industrial applications.
