ROICA™ by Asahi Kasei will return to PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich on October 13–14, 2026, bringing together textile developments from seven European partners and two Japanese specialists under its global brand message, “STRETCH YOUR FUTURE.” The developments will be presented at Booth P10 in Hall A4.
The ROICA™ booth will feature textile developments covering performance, comfort, textile engineering, craftsmanship and material expression. The showcased fabrics include breathable and three-dimensional constructions, engineered textiles, wool-based fabrics and Japanese textile developments.
Together, the nine partners present different approaches to stretch technology across performance, active and lifestyle apparel, with a focus on stretch performance, comfort, fit and material versatility.
Textile Developments Featured at the ROICA™ Booth
Borgini Jersey
Hall A5 – Booth I14-15
Borgini Jersey will present performance-oriented knitted fabrics developed for comfort, breathability and body-responsive functionality across active and sportswear applications.
The collection includes highly breathable mesh fabrics designed for rapid drying and body climate management, along with three-dimensional structures intended to improve aerodynamics and reduce fabric cling during physical activity. Lightweight constructions with UV protection and full coverage are also featured.
Developed with ROICA™ premium stretch fiber, the fabrics provide stretch, freedom of movement and comfort. Selected developments incorporate ROICA™ V550, which is engineered to partially degrade under the conditions specified in ISO 14855-1.
Brugnoli
Hall A5 – Booth F15
Brugnoli will showcase technical circular knits developed around its proprietary Explosive Technology. The collection focuses on integrating support, elasticity and freedom of movement while maintaining a clean aesthetic for active and everyday apparel.
One of the featured developments is Explosive Amni V550, which combines AMNI® SOUL ECO® polyamide with ROICA™ V550, a stretch fiber featuring partially degradable characteristics.
The fabric is developed to provide stretch, comfort and body support. Produced in Italy, the collection combines technical fabric engineering with ROICA™ premium stretch fiber.
Cifra
Hall A4 – Booth Q03
Cifra will present its WKS (Warp Knit Seamless) technology, which combines warp-knit engineering with material efficiency and design versatility.
The WKS process is designed to reduce material waste while enabling refined designs and intricate motifs. Cifra also collaborates with Wolford to develop signature seamless silhouettes, including contemporary cut-out details.
The developments combine seamless technology with ROICA™ premium stretch fiber to support comfort, fit and freedom of movement.
Penn Solutions
Hall A5 – Booth G20
Penn Solutions will showcase engineered textile constructions developed around performance, customization and visual expression. Its expertise spans tricot, lace and technical fabrics, with developments incorporating three-dimensional effects, breathable openings, customized motifs and engineered surface designs.
The collection also includes grip structures designed to enhance stability during movement and lace-effect constructions balancing comfort, performance and aesthetics.
Developed with ROICA™ V550, the fabrics combine stretch performance with design flexibility for applications including sportswear, cycling apparel, intimate apparel and technical garments.
Reda
Hall A5 – Booth G04
Reda will present wool-based stretch fabrics combining the properties of fine Merino wool with ROICA™ premium stretch fiber.
The developments are designed to add elasticity, resilience, comfort and freedom of movement while retaining the softness, breathability and hand feel associated with fine Merino wool.
The collection includes lightweight jersey constructions and woven fabrics made with 17.5-micron Merino wool and ZQ wool. Applications include T-shirts, sportswear, leggings, shirts, fitted garments and tailored apparel. Machine-washable constructions are also included.
Sitip
Hall A5 – Booth I12-13
Sitip will feature technical fabrics for sportswear and active applications, focusing on performance, comfort and durability.
The collection includes lightweight warp-knit constructions and thermal brushed fabrics developed to balance stretch, support, breathability and comfort. The fabrics incorporate ROICA™ V550, featuring partially degradable characteristics, and ROICA™ EF, made using pre-consumer waste yarn as part of its raw materials.
The developments are designed to provide stretch recovery, shape retention and performance under demanding conditions.
Tiba Tricot
Hall A5 – Booth J16
Tiba Tricot will present circular and warp-knitted fabrics developed for sportswear, active and technical applications.
With more than 60 years of expertise, the company combines circular knitting and three-dimensional warp-knit structures with a focus on elasticity, controlled structure, breathability and surface expression.
The showcased fabrics incorporate ROICA™ premium stretch fiber, supporting stretch performance, stability and comfort across different textile applications.
Japanese Textile Craftsmanship from Nanto City
ROICA™ will also feature two textile specialists from Nanto City in Toyama prefecture, highlighting Japanese expertise in tricot and warp knitting.
Imai Kigyojo will showcase warp-knit developments featuring lightweight open constructions, refined surface textures and bonded structures designed to support breathability, moisture management and comfort.
Kawada Knitting Group will present tricot fabrics focused on lightness, versatility and ease of movement across applications including sportswear, swimwear, innerwear and uniforms.
Developed with ROICA™ premium stretch fiber, the Japanese-made textiles will be presented exclusively at the ROICA™ booth during the exhibition.
ROICA™ Stretch Fibre and Material Developments
Across the European and Japanese developments, the ROICA™ booth will present different approaches to stretch technology, covering comfort, performance and material versatility across textile applications. The exhibition presentation will be held under the message “STRETCH YOUR FUTURE.”
ROICA™ is the premium stretch fiber developed by Asahi Kasei. Introduced in 1971, the fiber has evolved through proprietary technology and innovation to provide stretch solutions focused on comfort, fit and performance.
ROICA™ EF is a recycled stretch fiber made using waste yarns that were previously discarded as part of its raw materials. It is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, Class I certified.
ROICA™ V550 is a stretch fiber developed with degradable characteristics for environmentally conscious products. The source states that 100% degradation has not been verified. The fiber has obtained Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Gold Level.
